Rootstock competition and planting spacing for cv. ‘VERMENTINO’ in an altitude region of Santa Catarina

Rootstock adequacy and planting density are necessary for new grapevine varieties in regions. The objective of this work was to select the rootstock that confers best productive performance ‘Vermentino’ variety, adjust ideal spacing combination. experimental design used randomized blocks a 5x3 factorial scheme, which treatments studied consisted combination five rootstocks (‘101-14 Mgt’, ‘Harmony’, ‘IAC 572’, ‘Paulsen 1103’, ‘VR 043-43’) three spacings between plants (1.0, 1.2 1.5 m). phenological cycle quality characteristics grapes were evaluated during 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 harvests. Bud break 1103’ 043-43’ occurred latest 2019/20 2020/21. ‘101-14 Mgt’ induced highest yields 1.0 m provided productivity all seasons.
